Dashboard
Welcome banner
The dashboard opens with a personalised greeting showing your name, the organisation you're operating in, and today's date. Below the welcome message you'll find five headline metrics that summarise the current state of the business.
Headline metrics (five tiles)
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Pipeline Value (ex GST) | Total value and count of open quotes. |
| Ready to Bill (ex GST) | Outstanding value from work ready to invoice, plus the job count. Highlighted in green when there's work waiting. |
| Drafts to Send (ex GST) | Value of invoice drafts that have been created but not yet sent. A tooltip explains these don't count as billed until you mark them sent. |
| Active Jobs | Number of jobs currently in progress, plus how many already have visits scheduled. |
| Hours This Week | Total hours logged in timesheets this week and the technician count. |
Use these tiles as your morning pulse—if Ready to Bill spikes or Hours drops mid-week, you know where to dig first.
Quick actions
The right-hand column starts with two shortcuts:
- New Quote – opens
/app/quotes/createto start a fresh quote. - New Job – opens
/app/jobs/newto launch the job wizard.
Performance overview
A six-month chart comparing Work Completed (indigo) against Invoiced (green). Use it to spot billing lag trends—if the invoiced line trails the completed line, revenue is waiting to be billed.
The View Batches button opens /app/invoicing/batches so you can act on variances immediately.
Active Jobs
A grid of cards for every job flagged as "in progress." Each card shows:
- Job title and client name.
- Progress bar with percentage—how much of the job is complete.
- Invoiced bar with percentage—how much has been billed.
- An amber dot appears when the job is ready to bill.
Click any card to open the job detail page for finer analysis.
Invoice Queue
Split into two sections (shown when there's work to action):
Drafts to send
Invoice drafts that have been created but not marked as sent. Each row shows the job title, client, draft total (ex GST), and an Open draft button to resume editing or send.
Ready to invoice
Jobs with approved work that hasn't been invoiced yet. Each row shows the job title, client, outstanding amount (ex GST), and an Invoice button that opens the invoice wizard pre-filled for that job. Finalized jobs show a green "Finalized" badge.
The footer link opens the full invoicing module when you need the complete list.
Hours by Job
A month-to-date breakdown showing where field effort is going. Each bar represents a job, with hours displayed alongside. Use it to confirm labour distribution matches expectations—if hours spike on a job that hasn't progressed, investigate.
Pending Quotes
Lists quotes in Sent or Editing status that are waiting for a customer response. Each row shows:
- Quote number and status badge.
- Client name.
- Quote value (ex GST).
- Expiry date (e.g. "Exp 15 Mar") or "No expiry" if validity wasn't set.
Click a row to open the quote detail page where you can resend, chase the customer, or archive.
The footer View All Quotes link opens the full quotes list.
How teams use the dashboard
- Daily pulse (start of day) – glance at the five headline metrics to confirm nothing is wildly off.
- Midday sales sweep – open Pending Quotes, chase anything expiring soon, and convert accepted quotes so operations can schedule the work.
- Pre-billing review (end of day/week) – step through the Invoice Queue, sending drafts and raising new invoices until outstanding totals match your target.
- Operations check-ins – use Active Jobs to confirm progress and invoiced percentages per job, ensuring nothing is stuck.
By anchoring these habits to the dashboard, the rest of the workspace stays in sync—quotes move, jobs update, and invoicing doesn't wait for end-of-month catch-ups.
